Watch video on theme weaving.
Now that you’ve had a brief intro to theming, it’s time for a story!!
Listen to this story with the ears of a teacher. What themes stand out to you? What imagery resonates with you? What aspects of yoga does this story invoke? What poses come to mind? If you want to get up and move, do so and let it flow freely or take notes and jot down your ideas as you listen.
As stated in the intro to this section, there are several ways to bring a theme to life and language and words are one of the ways that we can do that. But, specific poses, music/playlists, mantras, poetry, personal stories can all be used to invoke a theme as well. Using this story as inspiration, begin to put together a class template using any themes or imagery that you’d like to focus in on.
