Meet Loran Wilburn, Lead Trainer

I am a curious life-time learner and passionate teacher. I have taught in public education for 9 years. During Covid I decided to get my yoga teaching certification because I wanted to be able to share yoga with everyone!

I previously had a regular personal practice and naturally wanted to teach what had helped me grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I began to realize that I had been practicing yoga all my life. My earliest involvement in sports led me to understand the body to breath connection and building “fire.” I tapped into the spiritual aspect when I prayed or hiked. When I learned to meditate, my practice became more intentional. Once I finally took a yoga class in my early 20s it all made sense. I continued to focus on the physical practice of yoga finding yoga philosophy into my early 30s.

Once I decided to get my teaching certification I was amazed to learn that there is much more to yoga than asana! This led me to focus more on yoga as a whole and think about how I wanted to share my newfound knowledge. After training I got plugged into my local yoga community with the desire to teach in and for the community. I continued my personal practice and sought ways to share yoga with others. I began subbing and teaching for Fort Worth Community Yoga. I gained confidence in teaching and set out to add more classes to my schedule. I began working as a group instructor and I’ve been teaching ever since. I appreciate the opportunity to share yoga with new and old yogis. My experiences have led me to teach and practice with a variety of people with various knowledge of the practice of yoga.

Currently I teach in person classes and online privates. I have experienced the power of yoga to grow and heal, leading to connecting to our highest self, others, and God.

I am passionate about helping yoga teachers & giving them the tools to be successful to lead classes and private sessions. I would greatly enjoy being a part of your yoga journey!
